JORICO (Jordan River Company) is a Jordanian Export-Import Company specialized in fresh produce. The company has first started it's operations in 1991 by exporting Jordanian fresh vegetables to western Europe, three years after that our company was able to open markets in the UK, France, Germany, Holland and Sweden, consequently pushing the management to expand and reorganize our operations to establish our own farms and growing special items (Ethnic and Exotic items) which are not produced in Jordan. At the same time, we were in full control of the contracted farms supplying our pack house with different Jordanian stuffs produced by local growers to be exported to our stations in Europe. Mainly, all kinds of
Peppers, Okra, Beans , Tomatoes, Cucumbers and Dates.

we invested heavily in human resources, and exerted all efforts to train and organize our staff to perform up to European standards, and that actually had its positive impact on the total quality and reputation that we currently enjoy.

The company employs around 140 workers of different ranks, and we were able to export on daily basis by air and by land our annual volume of export is around 7000 Mt. with an annual turnover of 10 million US Dollars.

We have also extensive global business relations with different reputable international firms in the same field, and therefore we recently developed a new business to supply (by re-exporting from our UK consolidated facilities) different markets in the Middle East with exotic
vegetables and fruit varieties mainly to Iraq ,Saudi Arabia, Jordan and United Arab Emirates. Such business includes supplying wholesalers, retailers and caterers.
A new development that the company started to invest on is its infrastructure by building a complex facility that includes 4000 square meters pack house, along with other cold storages, general store, labor accommodation and kitchen diner. In 2003 we supplied the Italian troops in Iraq with 1000 tons of fresh vegetables & Fruit worth one million USD.
